WindEn Sweden AB

The company was started in 2006 by two brothers, Niclas & Fredrik Axelsson, two engineers educated at Chalmers, with a passion for wind power. Their ideas resulted in the creation of the first WindEn wind mills that in 2007 were mounted at a testing site on the west coast of Sweden. 

The next step was to create the first WindEn45 that was mounted at a customer site in the south of Sweden. This mill has been in operation since the summer of 2008.

The next big step for the company was taken in automn 2009 when the Mattsson Group aquired  a majority stake in the company. WindEn moves to a new location in Gothenburg and the organisation starts to grow. At the same time production is moved to UFAB, another Mattsson Group company.
